I found this article in a magazine I read today. I thought it was so true and made me laugh, escpecially considering these past few weeks!
I live the life of a rock star. It's True! I have wild hair and make-up with frequent costume changes.
Everywhere I go I have an entourage. People are constantly yelling my name. I look out into the crowd and they're actually crying for me, reaching for me.
I have no privacy. I'm watched when I shower, when I'm cooking, even when I'm using the restroom...for my own protection, I'm sure.
When I go places I must do so quickly before my fans get out of control and start a riot. Every night a different guy wants to sleep with me. Each of them genuinely hurt when I turn him away.
Occasionally I get dirty undergarments whirled at me with a whoop and a smile. It's even hard sometimes to walk through my own home without someone spotting me and trying to grab my legs or my clothng.
Oh, and don't forget about the stalkers! You know, those crazed fans that follow you everywhere? Why, I can't even talk on the phone in the pantry without an eye or two peeping in at me.
Yes, it's true, I live my life as a rock star.

Tons-O-Trucks
We had a great weekend!
A part of our weekend included a trip to the Annual Tons-O-Trucks Event in Macomb. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, because we had never gone before, but knowing it was about large moving vehicles, I knew Dylan would love it!
As we were driving up, we heard police, firetruck and ambulance sirens. Dylan instantly got so excited he was practically jumping out of his carseat. Once we found a parking spot, we had a pretty long walk to get to all of the activity. For the entire length of our walk, all Dylan could talk about was seeing the policemen, firetrucks, and hearing all the sirens.
There were firetrucks, police cars, police motorcycles, garbage trucks, a helicopter, school busses, ambulances, policemen on horses, army trucks, bulldozers, tractors, limos, tow trcks, semi trucks and just about any other type of large vehicle you can think of!! And the best part was, you could go inside all of them, honk the horn, sit with the policemen, pet the horses, and sound the alarms!
However, my little "fearless" Dylan suddenly was "scared" (his words) of it all! He was amazed looking at them, with his typical cute mouth-open-serious Dylan face, but refused to go inside any of them (except the Sherrif's car and you can see he isn't smiling)! Oh well, I still think he had a blast looking at them, he talked about it all day!
Here are a few pics!
*Oh ya, and if I would have known how cool this was going to be, I would have told everyone...we're definitely going again next year!

Our house
This is our house between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., right before baths and bedtime.
This timeframe usually consists of:
1. Loud noises
2. Someone getting hurt
3. Laughing so hard someone is crying
4. One or more rooms in the house becoming a complete disaster zone
5. Wrestling that I don't understand (and never will)
6. Nathan's glasses getting broke
7. Me watching, praying it doesn't result in an ER trip
8. The biggest smile on Nathan's face
9. The boys loving how fun daddy is
10.Precious memories we'll always cherish!

Oh Craig...
Why does your list frustrate me???
I decided to list something on Craigslist this week. I usually do Ebay, but thought I'd give Craigslist a try this time. I have gotten at least 7 emails regarding my item for sale, from "serious/interested" buyers, who have even asked to come pick the item up tomorrow...I email these people back...then NO response!! None...nada, nothing back, not even a "sorry, changed my mind!"
Does this always happen on there? What is up with these Craigslist people? I don't understand...I keep getting my hopes up that I sold it, then....nope!
Oh well, maybe I'll just go back to Ebay!

Camp-out with my Carson
Out of nowhere, last night all three boys in my house were really sick. After the kids were in bed, Nathan went to bed at 8:30. I watched 24 and ate a bowl of ice cream, then decided I better go too, since I was anticipating a really late night (like it always is when either of the boys can't breathe thru their noses!). As I was walking up the stairs to my wonderful bed, Carson started crying, I waited a while to see if he'd go back to sleep but he didn't. So I went in his room, scooped my little snotty-nosed guy up, snuggled his little head under my neck, and instantly he fell asleep! Since I knew Nathan really needed his sleep, (thoughtful wife, I know) I decided to set up camp in our spare room with Carson. I knew he wasn't going to go to bed on his own and would just continue crying on and off all night long...he really needed his mama. I layed down on the bed, still his little head under my neck...he snored away (so cute!) and stayed like that for two straight hours. I was wide awake, couldn't fall asleep if I tried...but I layed there thinking of how I was going to treasure those two hours of snuggling forever. Time goes by so fast...before I know it, the little snotty-nosed head that I love, isn't going to fit under my neck anymore. So despite not getting much sleep at all last night, it was totally worth it.
I love my job as a mom!

So Long, Farewell....
It's been a couple weeks now, since I've said good-bye to Dylan's second nap. I do realize that I have been incredibly lucky for it to have stayed around so long. I used to panic at the thought of losing that extra hour and a half, sometimes two hours (3-5ish) that was so essential in getting dinner on the table and the house looking great before Nathan walked in the door from work.
But, now that it's been a few weeks, I have to say, the transition was much easier than I thought! I have the boys BOTH sleeping from about 12:30 to right around 3:00. It's been fairly consistant, so I think we have "caught-on" to our new routine. Yay!
